COVID-19 Update

Masks are welcomed, but no longer required in any church facility. We are deeply grateful for the work of the Trustees and Finance committees who have worked together to have new heat pumps installed in the sanctuary. These heat pumps will benefit our community in three ways: climate care (reducing our use of fossil fuels), energy cost savings, as well as health and wellness. The four heat pumps will filter the air that goes through them and they all include a UV strip that works to sanitize air particles. We hope this additional measure will also work to reduce the risk of spreading illness.

We continue to follow CDC guidelines, so if you have come in direct contact with someone who has tested positive, please avoid the church building for 5 days. If you aren’t feeling well, please avoid the church building and let the pastor know so we can be in prayer for you or provide whatever assistance you might need. We trust that a faith community like ours will be one of support and encouragement regardless of a person’s choice to wear a mask or not. 1 Thessalonians 5: 11, “Therefore encourage one another and build up each other….”

Our Mission Statement:  To be disciples of Christ, growing in and sharing God's love.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We believe God is calling us to spiritually nurture all members of our faith community.

We understand the ministry, in which Jesus Christ engaged, to be inclusive.  Therefore, we are committed to welcoming and incorporating into the life of the church all who yearn for personal transformation.

We acknowledge that faithful discipleship requires us to reach across boundaries, in order to share our faith and resources.

We recognize that leadership is necessary for a church to engage in its mission.  We will inspire and empower both the membership and pastor to provide effective leadership.
